Sammy’s Mom Stacy and Anna’s Mom Lisa took Anna, Brenden and Sammy to a Chess Tournament at Chippewa Middle School in Okemos Mi.
150 kids participated in this event. That is a great turnout. Ray Garrison organized and ran it. I have played Ray many times in Lansing, Ann Arbor, Detroit and other cities around michigan. He is a very strong player and teaches and coaches chess.
Brenden has a Excalibur Chess Clock with a unique “Hour-Glass” timer mode. 
This Chess Tournament was not USCF [United States Chess Federation] Rated. The 3 Chess Amigos did very well in representing the Jackson Chess Club and many thanks to Stacy Way for the fantastic photos and for the info about the tournament. I’m sure our young Jackson club chess players will return to more tournaments in Michigan to bring home more Trophies.
